Traditional marketing, seems obsolete and sounds recorded in the history, is the marketing process what has been widely used since the outset of civilization. It includes business cards, print ads in newspapers or magazines, posters, commercials on TV and radio, billboards, brochures and etc. It sounds like an analog system. , I understand. But I urge that traditional media marketing is the heart of marketing process which is the foundation and will never extinct.
Digital marketing is the modern marketing strategy and evolves with technology advancement. I believe that digital marketing will be the goldmine in the 21st-century of marketing strategy and continues to digital system development. It goes with two binary numbers 0 & 1 as we know from digit. So we can say when a marketing strategy uses the binary system, we can reckon it as digital marketing. Let’s avoid this, we are not the mathematician but we are the techie. Anyway, let me shot an explanation. It includes digital billboards, search engine optimization (SEO), social media marketing (SMM), video marketing, search engine marketing (SEM), email marketing, SMS/MMS marketing i.e. telemarketing, display advertising, content marketing, article marketing etc.
Don’t get dumbfounded in differentiating digital marketing and internet marketing. Very simple and clear insights there. Don’t be confused! Digital marketing is the vast term and everything is part of this when a term “digital” used. But internet marketing is applied only when we used the internet. Maybe you have deep insight now.
